It’s an annual event that marks both an ending and a beginning: The conclusion of the summer season and the start of another autumn.
Ring of Lights was held over the weekend. It is a celebration organized by the Lake Delta Upland Owners Association in which residents clear their shoreline of debris and pile the wood products for a bonfire. Each participating property lights their bonfire along the shoreline at once, creating a ring of light.
Then, of course, there are the fireworks, which attendees watch from the beach at Lake Delta State Park or from a boat. It’s a great show.
We express our thanks to the Lake Delta Upland Owners Association, whose mission (outlined at lduoa.org) includes promoting and fostering the safe enjoyment of Lake Delta, one of our local treasures.
