Rome Free Academy beat Proctor High of Utica in boys lacrosse 24-0 Saturday on the road.
Justin Hoke led RFA with seven goals and five assists. Noah Hammon scored five times and had an assist. Chris Orton scored three and had two assists, and Jared Hussey also scored three. Dylan Gannon scored twice and assisted twice, and Mike Futia also scored two. Griffin Eychner and Keyshawn Clark had a goal and an assist each. Peter Sciortino and Nico Mattacola each had an assist.
Santos Cruz of RFA faced no shots in goal.
RFA led 11-0 after the first quarter and 18-0 at the half.
RFA girls lax loses close one
The RFA girls lacrosse team lost 10-9 at home against Liverpool.
Leading the way for Rome were Hailey Millington with four goals and Sydney Stamboly with three. Kaitlyn Salce scored twice and Jace Hunzinger and Jamie Fleck each had an assist.
In goal for RFA, Callie Ott made 10 saves.
RFA softball falls
RFA fell behind 10-1 after two innings, and battled back but fell short in a 15-11 loss to Central Square on the road.
Laina Beer gave up seven hits and walked three while striking out five for RFA on the mound.
At the plate, Olivia Guy had two hits including a home run, and drove in two runs.
Megan Magnanti doubled and drove in three runs for the Black Knights.
