RFA Class of 1969 announces plans for 50-year reunion, Aug. 9-11


The Rome Free Academy Class of 1969 will hold its 50-year reunion the weekend of Aug. 9-11.

On Friday, Aug 9, the class will hold a dinner at Teugega Country Club beginning at
6 p.m.

There will be hors d’oeurvres, a one-hour open bar followed by a complete four-station dinner with beer and wine.

Dancing will be hosted by a DJ with special door prizes and raffles throughout the evening.

Attire is casual, but organizers request guests do not wear jeans or tank tops.

On Saturday, Aug 10, members of the class will meet at the Woods Fest 2 Music Festival at Woods Valley (noon until midnight).

A class tent will be available at the Music Festival. On Sunday, Aug. 11, there will be a farewell brunch at Delta Lake Inn, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Additionally, there will be golf outings at Teugega Country Club, and anyone interested should contact Joe Surace at 315-525-0925.

There will also be a Catholic Mass of reunion at St. John the Baptist Church on Sunday morning 10:30 a.m.

Tickets for the Dinner are $69, while tickets for the music festival are $20. The other events are pay-as-you-go.

Checks for the dinner and/or music festival should be made payable to “RFA Class of 1969” and mailed to Ellie Marsh, 909 N. Madison St., Rome, NY 13440.
