Mohawk Valley Community College's Luis Reyes broke a 27-year old baseball school record for stolen bases when he recently stole his 47th of the season.

Reyes, who is from Queens, leads MVCC's all-time list for a single season and career stolen bases. The record was previously held by currently New Hartford baseball coach Kevin Green for 27 years.

Reyes has 58 steals on 59 attempts this season which ranks him second at the National Junior College Athletic Association level.

MVCC put the second game out of reach early scoring 14 runs in the first inning on the way to a 21-3 victory in a game shortened to five innings.
