The Christ the King Retreat House, 500 Brookford Road in Syracuse, will host a First Friday of Prayer event monthly. The Friday, Oct. 5, event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“As we inaugurate the month of Our Lady of the Rosary, in the words of Pope St. John Paul II, we are invited, when praying the rosary, to “Contemplate the face of Jesus in the
school of Mary,”” according to the Christ the King Retreat House event announcement.
“Catherine found in the Rosary “a companion to our retracing of the life of God, His Mother, His Church, a pilgrimage of love and faith,” the Christ the King Retreat House announcement added.
The event includes conference, meditation, Mass and eucharistic holy hour. The offering for the First Friday of Prayer is $25 and includes a lunch.
