Rescue Mission of Utica to present Gourmet Gala

WHITESBORO — The Rescue Mission of Utica, a faith-based nonprofit, multiple-service charitable organization serving Utica and the Mohawk Valley, will host its 30th annual Gourmet Gala at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 16, at Hart’s Hill Inn, 135 Clinton St.

Top area restaurants will serve up their specialties and the evening will include, raffles, drawings, and music by “Doc” Woods, according to event organizers.

Tickets, tables of eight, and program book ads can be purchased online at www.UticaMission.org; by emailing leslie.nicolette@uticamission.org; or by calling Leslie at 315-735-1645, ext. 2104. Tickets are $50 per person.

The Rescue Mission of Utica has a goal of filling 30 or more tables for the 30 year anniversary of the event.

All proceeds from the event stay in the local community to help serve those in need.

Rescue Mission of Utica, founded in 1890, is committed to reaching out to men, women, children, and families while meeting physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and practical needs, by providing safe housing, food, clothing, case management, counseling, advocacy, education, referrals and support services for individuals overcoming, homelessness, abuse, addictions and disabilities through their programs and services, the announcement said.
