It’s time to dig out the construction paper, ink, crayons, glitter, paste and anything else you can think of to help our veterans celebrate St. Valentine’s Day.

Rep. Anthony J. Brindisi, D-22, Utica, urges those of us with an artistic bent to participate in his annual Valentines for Veterans program. The program help families show their appreciation for veterans with homemade Valentine Day cards.

“Honoring them this Valentine’s Day is just one small way for us to say thank you and let them know we will always remember their sacrifices,” Brindisi said. The deadline to send in the homemade Valentine’s Day cards is Wednesday, Feb. 12.
Brindisi, who is a member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, holds the Valentines for Veterans program annually as do other members of Congress.

Cards can be dropped off in person or they can also be mailed to Congressman Brindisi’s district offices at the following addresses:

• Utica Office, 430 Court Street, Suite 102, Utica, New York 13502

• Binghamton Office, 49 Court Street, Suite 210, Binghamton, New York 13901
