Read Around the Clock returns to Kirkland library

CLINTON — Kirkland Town Library’s annual 24-hour reading marathon is back on Aug. 20 and 21.

This year, in honor of the Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program theme, participants will be reading books all about animals. From classics (“Animal Farm”), to favorites for younger readers (“The One and Only Ivan”), to imaginary creatures (“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”), the library has books from the ocean to the jungle and the savanna. KTL is asking patrons to sign up for at least one 15-minute slot and help keep the tradition going.
