RCT presents final production of the season

ROME — Rome Community Theater’s production of a light drama entitled “Geezers” by Tommy Lee Johnston continues with performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 10-11, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 12.

“Geezers” will introduce you to some beautiful and wonderful old people who are enjoying their golden years in a retirement home. Jack, a pathologically shy, 27-year-old man, begins a job there helping the seniors with their daily needs. But it’s the “geezers” who wind up helping Jack with his needs. On his road to an epiphany, Jack learns from the old folks that he must break out of his comfort zone to achieve anything in life.

Arnold Galin directs this funny, heartwarming drama about growth and wisdom, learning and loving, life and death. In the cast are Janet Hanna, Joshua Thompson, Denise Morganti, Michele Buday, Susan Nackley Mojave, Bill Moore, Mike Cosgrove, Graycee Fern Olds, Sully Walker and Erik Carlson. Geezers is assistant directed by Justin Jones and produced by Chris Galin.

Tickets can be purchased at Romecommunitytheater.org or at the door during all performances. Wearing masks is optional. After the show on Saturday, June 11, there will be a talk back session with the cast and director. RCT is located at 8911 Turin Road.
