The Rome Art and Community Center, 308 W. Bloomfield St., has issued a call for art submissions for the upcoming “Flora and Fauna” exhibit.
“Nature surrounds us and is full of diversity and intricacy,” organizers noted. “From the delicate blooms of flowers to the towering ancient trees to the colorful plumage of birds and the stately majesty of elephants nature has the power to inspire and intrigue us.”
“Flora and Fauna” is an open-call, non-juried, salon-style group exhibition open to art in a variety of mediums including sculpture, pottery, glasswork, and photography. Local and regional artists are invited to participate. The exhibition is limited to 50 pieces of art and will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
Participation is open to any living artist 18 years of age and older. All entries must be original works of art created with in the last five years. Artists can submit a maximum of two pieces of work for the exhibit. All hanging artwork is limited to maximum dimensions of 36x48 including frame.
There is a $10 submission fee for up to two pieces.
