The R-CATS program, which helps vaccinate and control the population of homeless cats in Rome, will host its annual
SpayGhetti Dinner on Sunday, Oct. 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Stanwix Veterans and Men’s Club, 6774 Lamphear Road.
The dinner will feature ziti and a meatball, salad, bread/butter, coffee or water and cookies for dessert for $10 for adults and $5 for children age 10 and under.
In addition to the meal, there will be several raffles, including a 50/50 raffle and raffles for a 32-inch television and a homemade cheesecake.
There will also be a silent auction featuring seasonal gift baskets.
Anyone interested in attending the dinner and supporting the R-CATS organization and its mission, should email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 315-337-3890 by Sunday, Oct. 4, to make reservations. Money will be collected at the dinner, and organizers request the exact amount due when paying cash. Checks made out to R-CATS will also be accepted.
The event — which will feature takeout and dine-in options — will follow all Centers for Disease Control, state and local requirements for anyone entering the dining area, including the need to wear masks except for when seated and eating as well as maintaining social distancing.
In addition, organizers will also offer the option for people to have curbside pickup with meals brought out to them. People can also buy raffle tickets without leaving their vehicles, the organizers added.
