A young man was saved from a drug overdose at the Oneida County Office Building in Utica Tuesday morning, according to law enforcement officials.

The male then lost consciousness and all attempts to wake him back up were unsuccessful, authorities stated.
Deputies on scene then used the anti-opioid drug Naloxone, which managed to halt the overdose and the man regained some consciousness, authorities said.
The Utica Fire Department soon arrived on the scene and the man was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center for further treatment, the law enforcers added.
The man was not identified by the Sheriff’s Office.
