Put ‘Historic Rome’ back in the spotlight

Have our city leaders lost their minds? An apartment building for the artist community, really? An apartment building to replace the parking garage?

Fancy sidewalks with pictures and now a church to take over our historic village when churches are closing in Rome.

And a buyer from the sanctuary state of California has this idea. Who will support this church? Is he bringing people with him? Do we really want this?

Here is a novel idea, let us vote on these ideas. Rome is one of the most historic cities in New York.

Why are you not capitalizing on that? Give me a break! How about a mini mall to replace the garage with small shops featuring local farmers, craftsmen, artists etc.

Bring business back to Rome so visitors will have a reason to stop here. We need leaders who will put Historic Rome back in the spotlight.
