Pulled pork event to aid Western Town Library


WESTERNVILLE — The Board of Trustees of the Western Town Library, 9172 Main St., will host a pulled pork takeout fundraiser on Thursday Sept. 30, from 4 to 7 p.m. or until gone. The menu will include pulled pork by Tyler Swiss; macaroni and cheese and Cole slaw from Eddie’s Diner; a bun from Ferlo’s Bakery; and a half-moon cookie from Hemstrought’s Bakery. The cost of the meal is $12.

The event will feature curbside pickup to ensure social distancing, Reservations are required and can be made by calling the library at 315-827-4118 and leaving a message. Patrons will receive a call back to confirm the order and people will be given a time slot for pickup. A cashier will be at the entrance to the library parking lot and the line will form on Main Street to the south of that to keep the line to the right hand side of the road only.

The Western Town Library is a multipurpose organization dedicated to enriching the lives of community members by providing recreational and educational services. The library is an affiliate of the Mid-York Library System which provides support, on-line services and shares the Mid-York catalog of books, magazines and DVDs. The Western Town Library is open from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday as well as from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Curbside pickup is still available upon request. A mask is required for unvaccinated patrons to enter the library. To help with your compliance with Covid-19 guidelines, the library has non-medical masks for sale in assorted patterns and colors ($6 and $7 for adults, youth, and children).
