Public hearing March 15 on Georgetown plan
Posted
GEORGETOWN — The town of Georgetown is updating its comprehensive plan and is holding a public hearing on Wednesday, March 15, at 7 p.m. at the Georgetown Town Hall, Madison County.
A comprehensive plan is the guiding document for a community’s future growth and development. It’s developed by evaluating the current trends, resources, and preferences of the community, which are then used to create a common vision for the future and to establish and prioritize goals for the community.
To that end, the public is invited to share their input and help develop what type of place Georgetown is and what it should be in the future.
“Participating in this process is a unique opportunity,” Georgetown officials said. “A comprehensive plan is only updated about once every 10 years. This is your community and your input is instrumental.”
Georgetown Town Hall is located at 995 State Rt. 26, Georgetown.
