“How Ordinary People Do Extraordinary Things” is the title of a talk by Hamilton College sociology professor Dan Chambliss at The Other Side, 2011 Genesee St. in Utica at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 11.

The presentation is part of the venue’s lecture series, which provided this description: “Top performers, in all fields, share characteristics that are less personal than environmental. Ranging from knee surgery, to Olympic sports, to college success, to language learning, Professor Chambliss will demonstrate the power of social context in producing excellence.”

The lecture is free to the public. For information contact Kim at 315 735-4825 or kodomenico@verizon.net.
