Utica Proctor swept a Tri-Valley League doubleheader against Utica Notre Dame Thursday, taking game one 8-1 and then winning the second game 13-2.

In the first game, Proctor scored one in the top of the first and three more in the second. Notre Dame made it 4-1 after three but Proctor added a run in the fourth and another three in the fifth.

Jacob Lew threw a five-inning complete game in the win. He allowed three hits and no walks while striking out three.

Taking the loss was Giovanni Crouse, who went the first three innings for the Jugglers and surrendered four earne runs on four hits and two walks.

Todd Abraham led the Raiders’ offense with two hits including a double as well as two runs and two RBIs. Parker Giruzzi had a hit, an RBI and scored twice.

For Notre Dame, Dan Head singled and drove in a run.

In the second game, Proctor trailed 2-0 after a half inning but the Raiders struck for eight in the first and three more in the second to put the game out of reach.

Giruzzi threw a five-inning complete game for the Raiders, allowing two earned runs on four hits and two walks. He struck out six.

Mason Jacobs took the loss, going 1 1/3 innings and allowing 11 runs, seven of them earned, on nine hits.

Abraham singled and doubled, drove in two and scored three runs. Peyton Kimball singled and tripled, with three RBIs. Angelo Podagrosi singled and doubled, scored twice and had two RBIs. Ty Bonner was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs.

Jaylen Jackson had a hit and two RBIs for the Jugglers.

Proctor hosted non-league opponent Jamesville-DeWitt Friday. Results were not available at press time.

Notre Dame hosts West Canada Valley at 10 a.m. Saturday in non-league action.

Adirondack edges out Mount Markham

Colin White tossed a complete game for Adirondack in the Wildcats’ 3-2 Center State Conference win at Mount Markham Thursday.

White gave up six hits and walked four while striking out five. He also had a double, scored a run and drove in one at the plate.

Brett Sanford had a hit, run and RBI for Adirondack.

Statistics for Mount Markham were not submitted.

The Wildcats visited league foe Canastota Friday. Results were not available at press time.

Oriskany clobbers Town of Webb

The Oriskany baseball team scored eight runs in the first inning and cruised past host Town of Webb 14-1 in the Center State Thursday.

Jacob Usyk was 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs and two RBIs for Oriskany. Alex Burrows was 3-for-3 with a double, a run and three RBIs. Ty Zizzi was 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs. David Cronauer had two hits, two runs and drove in one.

Anthony Kernan threw three innings for Oriskany, allowing no runs and no hits with a pair of walks and eight strikeouts.

Statistics for Town of Webb were not submitted.

Oriskany hosts Poland at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the league.
