Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten registration details for the 2020-21 school year have been announced for several area school districts.

Pre-K is for children who will be age four on or before Dec. 1, 2020, while kindergarten is for children who will be age five on or before Dec. 1, 2020.

• The Camden school district will hold pre-K and kindergarten registration on Feb. 5 and Feb. 6 from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. on both days, at the district office at 51 Third St. An evening date for pre-K registration will be Feb. 12 from 5:30-7 p.m. at Camden Elementary School. A “snow date” for pre-K and kindergarten registration will be Feb. 26 from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. at the district office, and from 5:30-7 p.m. at Camden Elementary School.

To request a packet in advance, call Camden Elementary School at 315-245-2616 or McConnellsville Elementary School at 315-245-3412.

A child’s birth certificate, immunization record, and any applicable custody paperwork must be brought to registration.

Children who are enrolled in the school district’s pre-K program for the current 2019-20 year will already be enrolled for kindergarten in 2020-21, so their parents/guardians do not need to attend registration.

• Registration for the Madison-Oneida (MO) BOCES pre-K program that is offered in the Stockbridge and Canastota school districts will be Feb. 13 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at Stockbridge Valley Elementary School, and Feb. 27 from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. at Peterboro Street Elementary School in the Canastota district.

A child’s birth certificate, immunization record, and proof of residency such as current mortgage/lease or utility bill must be brought to registration.

For questions or more information, call MO BOCES Early Childhood Program at 315-361-5903. Application packets are available at elementary school offices or at www.moboces.org online.

• The Remsen school district will hold pre-K and kindergarten registration by appointment only, on March 4 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Remsen Elementary School main office.

To set up an appointment, call 315-205-4300, ext. 4223.

Parents/guardians are asked to bring their child’s birth certificate, immunization record and proof of residency to registration. Registration paperwork is at www.remsencsd.org online.
