Our congressman, Anthony Brindisi, answered unfiltered questions from his constituents for two hours straight at his town hall in Endicott on January 21st. It takes a lot of courage for a Democratic congressman to do that in a Republican district! His predecessor, Claudia Tenney, held one free town hall in the two years she was in office. He held 17 town halls in his first year; Broome County was his first town hall in 2020, as we were in 2019. He is doing a great job representing his constituents. Thank you, Congressman Brindisi!
I agree with his votes 90% of the time. In this district, it is impossible for him to please anyone 100% of the time without catering to a minority of his constituents.
Anthony Brindisi is the very best person who could possibly be elected to Congress to represent NY22.
He meets with us, listens to us, and he consistently weighs his votes very carefully on issues and legislation instead of being a party-line voter. He holds open town halls with civility. No one could do a better job of representing this district, representing an almost even balance of Republicans and Democrats.
