UTICA — Oneida County saw two new positive cases confirmed over the weekend, bringing to 1,972 the total of positive cases since the pandemic arrived locally in mid-March. There were no new COVID-19-related deaths, keeping that total at 112.
Nine patients are hospitalized in Oneida County with eight at Mohawk Valley Health System hospitals and one patient hospitalized at Rome Memorial. There is one patient hospitalized outside of Oneida County. Of the patients, one is a nursing home resident receiving acute care at MVHS.
There are 200 active positive cases in the county while 1,660 positive cases have been resolved. There has been a total of 68,220 negative results out of 70,192 total tests. Two hundred people are in mandatory isolation while 1,003 are in mandatory quarantine.
