Potential virus exposures in Rome, Holland Patent, Clinton, Whitesboro and Utica

UTICA — Oneida County saw two new positive cases confirmed over the weekend, bringing to 1,972 the total of positive cases since the pandemic arrived locally in mid-March. There were no new COVID-19-related deaths, keeping that total at 112.

Nine patients are hospitalized in Oneida County with eight at Mohawk Valley Health System hospitals and one patient hospitalized at Rome Memorial. There is one patient hospitalized outside of Oneida County. Of the patients, one is a nursing home resident receiving acute care at MVHS.

There are 200 active positive cases in the county while 1,660 positive cases have been resolved. There has been a total of 68,220 negative results out of 70,192 total tests. Two hundred people are in mandatory isolation while 1,003 are in mandatory quarantine.

Here is a list of potential exposures reported the Oneida County Health Department. In each case, the individual wore a mask and risk of transmission is considered low:

Price Chopper, 1790 Black River Blvd., potential exposure Tuesday, July 14 — 11:30 a.m. to noon, self-monitor through Tuesday, July 28; also potential exposure Monday, July 20, 11 a.m. to noon, self-monitor through Monday, Aug. 3;

Dunkin' Donuts, 81 Oriskany Blvd., Whitesboro, potential exposure Friday, July 17, 11 to 11:30 a.m.; self-monitor through Friday, July 31;

Walmart, 710 Horatio St., Utica, potential exposure Saturday, July 18, noon to 12:20 p.m., self-monitor through Saturday, Aug. 1;

Hannaford, 55 Meadow St., Clinton, potential exposure Sunday, July 19, 2:30 to 2:40 p.m.; self-monitor through Sunday, Aug. 2;

Marshall's, 225 Erie Blvd. W., Rome, potential exposure Monday, July 20, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.; self-monitor through Monday, Aug. 3;

Dollar General, 9070 Route 365 Holland Patent, potential exposure Monday, July 20 from noon to 12:30 p.m.; self-monitor through Monday, Aug. 3.
