Police: Woman has foot run over during domestic dispute


TOWN OF ANNSVILLE — A victim’s foot was run over by a minivan following a dispute at a Martin Court residence Saturday, according to local law enforcement officials.

Sheriff’s deputies said they responded to a call at 29 Martin Court for a reported dispute at 9:35 p.m.

During the investigation, the deputies said that it was learned that the victim was attempting to stop Evan MacFarland, 27, of Rome, from leaving the
residence in his 2005 Dodge Caravan after a dispute between the two.

While MacFarland was backing out of the driveway, the victim’s foot was run over by the minivan.

The victim was transported by AmCare Ambulance to Rome Memorial Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. No tickets were issued, and the incident remains under investigation, deputies said.
