Police seek pair suspected of shoplifting

Two women suspected of shoplifting from Wal-Mart on Rome-Taberg Road Sunday afternoon are wanted by the Sheriff’s Office, the law enforcers have reported.

Deputies said the pair were spotted taking numerous items from the store, and they refused to cooperate with store security when stopped.

The sheriff’s deputies added that the pair were last seen leaving the parking lot in a light blue-colored, four-door Chevy Cruze.

One of the women is described as possibly Hispanic, wearing a pink flowered dress, white sandals and carrying a black purse, deputies said. The woman also had long black hair.

Authorities said she was accompanied by a younger woman.

Anyone who recognizes the suspected thieves and has information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 315-765-2714.

All calls will be kept confidential, the law enforcers added.
