ROME — A 20-year-old man is accused of throwing a cinder block in a woman’s face in Rome, according to the Rome Police Department.

Police said Alec Debella, 20, of Rome, was in an argument with his sister in the 600 block of W. Embargo St. at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday when he threw a cinder block in her face, causing an injury.

Debella then left the area and got into an argument with another woman in the 300 block of Expense St. at about 2 p.m., police stated. Debella threw a rock to hit the woman’s vehicle, but missed and hit another person’s truck, police stated.

The rock caused $1,573 worth of damage to the truck, authorities said.

Debella is charged with one count each of second-degree assault and fourth-degree mischief, police said. He is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
