Police say man attacked girlfriend

A 26-year-old man is accused of attacking his girlfriend and shoving her around their home at Park Drive Manor II very early Friday morning.

Police said Frederick A. Gilmore punched his girlfriend in the face, causing her to fall to the floor during a domestic dispute shortly after midnight. Once she was on the floor, police said Gilmore punched and kicked her, then grabbed her hair and slammed her face into the floor.

Police said Gilmore shoved the woman into the baby’s room, with the child in a nearby crib. Police said Gilmore also shoved the woman into the shower. Gilmore refused to let the woman leave and threatened to kill her if she called the police, according to the authorities.

Gilmore is charged with one count each of second-degree harassment, third-degree coercion, second-degree imprisonment and third-degree menacing, police stated. He is scheduled to appear in City Court.
