TOWN OF KIRKLAND — A 17-year-old jogger was struck by a motor vehicle on Dugway Road and law enforcement officials said they are looking for a man who stopped and then left.

Town Police said the female jogger was running eastbound on the shoulder of the westbound lane of Dugway Road shortly before 4 p.m. on June 11 when she was struck from behind by a vehicle. Police said the woman was thrown into a ditch on the side of the roadway.

Police said the woman looked up and saw a man about 20 to 25-years-old asking if she was OK, standing at a stopped red car.

Police said another motorist stopped to check on the girl and call 9-1-1, at which point the man got back into his vehicle and left.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call
Officer Shawn Occhipinti at 315-853-5627.

All calls will be kept confidential.
