ROME — A Rome woman is facing multiple charges for attacking another woman in front of a house full of children, according to the Rome Police Department.

Police said Natalie Todd, 48, entered the other woman's home on Smith Avenue, which runs between Erie Boulevard West and Calvert Street, at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday and slapped her in the face, then pushed her by the face into a refrigerator. Police said there were eight children present to witness the attack, including the victim's two children.

Todd and the other woman were familiar with each other, police said, because Todd was the grandmother of the victim's two children. Police said Todd was upset because the household was making too much noise, and it was bothering her daughter, who lived next door.

Todd was charged on Monday with one count each of second-degree burglary and second-degree harassment, as well as eight counts of endangering the welfare of a child, authorities stated. She is scheduled to appear in Rome City Court.
