A man was charged with violating a court order when accused of getting involved in a domestic dispute early this morning.

Police said Luis M. Rentas, 26, of a last known address as West Thomas Street, was involved in a physical altercation at 12:56 a.m. with a person who had an order of protection issued against him.

Rentas was taken into custody and charged with felony first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment, a violation. He will appear in City Court.

Back in August, Rentas was one of Rome Police’s Warrant of the Week when he was wanted for failing to appear in City Court on a charge of criminal contempt.
