Plowing ahead for Vets
PLOWING AHEAD FOR VETS — Leaders representing the Oneida County Highway Superintendents Association presented checks to the Feed Our Vets program to help support area veterans in need. The organization presented a pair of checks, one for $500 and an additional check for $60 which was raised by members at a monthly meeting. The donation is typically given each year at a holiday party, however while the gathering was canceled because of COVID-19 restrictions several OCHSA members were given a tour the program’s facility and got to view its bustling operation. From left: Fred Wickham, of the Gorman Group; Rick Sherman, president of OCHSA; Richard Synek, founder and executive director of Feed Our Vets; Kevin Monaghan, OCHSA secretary; and Joe Ancona, of Feed Our Vets.
