Players of Utica present ‘Christmas Carol’ comedy

Posted

The Players of Utica present a comedic rendition of “A Christmas Carol” Dec. 7-9, and 13-16. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays-Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays. The theater is located at 1108 State St. This is the Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of “A Christmas Carol,” written by David McGillivray and Walter Zerlin, Jr. based on the story by Charles Dickens. The play is directed by Marilee Ensign.

In a festive mood, the ladies of the Dramatic Society enthusiastically portray a dizzy array of characters from the Dickensian favorite (and a few which aren’t), engineer some novel audience participation while bravely contending with an intrusive PA system and rap their vocal cords and feet around two original, show stopping songs.

Tickets are $20, $17 for seniors, $10 for students with ID. For tickets or more information, call 315-724-7624 or go online to www.playersofutica.org.
