Pizza delivery driver mugged in Utica


The ambush mugging of a pizza delivery driver on Brinckerhoff Avenue in Utica Sunday night is under investigation by law enforcement.

Police said the Domino’s pizza delivery driver went to a residence in the 1400 block of Brinckerhoff Ave. at about 6:15 p.m. when he was ambushed by a man wearing a ski mask. Police said the robber demanded cash and struck the driver with what appeared to be a pistol.

Police said no one was injured. No arrests have been made so far. The investigation is ongoing.

Police said they are also investigating another reported robbery at about 8 a.m. today on Jewett Place in Utica.
