Chippy is a super sweet boy who is shy at first when meeting you. He is not quite a year old yet so with some confidence work, he will prove to you what a great dog he is. He is truly just a big goofball. Chippy loves to run around and play with other dogs. Plus, once he does know you, he will always be the happiest boy whenever he sees you. If you think Chippy would make a great addition to your family, stop by Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association, 7138 Sutherland Drive, Canastota, or give them a call at 315-697-2796.
Lola and Debo are still waiting for their hero to come along! They are a bonded pair and are 7 years old. On Oct. 13, they will have been at the shelter for one year, so we really want to find them a home together. They have attended events and did great around other dogs and meeting people of all ages. They like to go for walks and play outside, but they’re at the perfect age where they would be equally as content cuddling up on the couch. The beauty of adopting a bonded pair is they already have a friend and you know they adore each other. Lola & Debo are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Their adoption fee is reduced to $120 for both. Lola does have a fatty tumor on her chest and a cyst near her spine, but no treatment is needed for either of those. Stop in during business hours at Anita’s Stevens-Swan Humane Society, 5664 Horatio St., Utica, to meet Lola & Debo or fill out an application at https://www.anitas-sshs.org/adopt/apply/Dog.
Her Majesty, Queen Rose, is a feline with the most beautiful eyes. She is 7 years young and would make the most wonderful companion/ruler in a quiet castle. She would love to be someone’s one and only. She enjoys climbing up on her tower to oversee her kingdom, is very affectionate and gets along well with older children. No other cats or dogs in the household though. To visit Rose, stop by the Humane Society of Rome, 6247 Lamphear Road, call 315-336-7070 or go to www.humanesocietyrome.com.
