Beginning May 5, Physicians Urgent Care at Griffiss will be open every Saturday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., according to Rome Memorial Hospital President and Chief Executive Officer David Lundquist.
The Saturday hours come after the office expanded its weekday hours to 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“Providing Saturday and evening hours when most physician practices are closed gives our community an alternative to the Emergency Department for minor illnesses and injuries,” Lundquist said. “We’re pleased that our collaboration with Slocum-Dickson Medical Group has enabled us to expand hours once again to meet the needs of our community.”
Physicians Urgent Care provides walk-in care with no appointment needed for patients ages 2 and older, and participates with most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.
With providers from Slocum-Dickson Medical Group, Physicians Urgent Care provides a physician working on site in collaboration with nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Those with minor health problems such as a sprain, broken bone, cut, backache, job-related injury or common illness, visit Physicians Urgent Care in the Mohawk Glen medical building in Suite 120 located in the rear of the building.
