Winter is coming and there is still nowhere for Centro Bus to accommodate the drivers or the passangers!
Drivers over the past 18-plus months, because of the previous closing of the garage on George Street, which was just recently demolished, have only been able to sit on the bus between runs. Nowhere to rest or relax. Regardless of weather be it rain or snow, hot or cold. But, we as passengers, have nowhere to go to keep warm during winter or cool during summer.
And as sad as that sounds it gets worse. When needed, I’m sure you’ll get the message, the drivers have no where or no place, other than coffee shops or stores, en route to their destination, to stop at. Which, to me, is extremely disrespectful! And we passengers as well, have nowhere when we are in the same predicament.
New businesses or new buildings are always the most talked about, excited about and expressed features in the Daily Sentinel.
Absolutely nothing has been shared about a new hub. Hopefully something that will enable drivers and passengers a bit of comfort before winter arrives.
Please note, this is not just my words, thoughts or question but others as well.
