Panel on climate action in New York at Hamilton College


CLINTON — Hamilton College will host a panel discussion, “The Road Ahead for Climate Action in New York: How Should State & Federal Authorities Address Climate Change?,” on Wednesday, April 24 at 7 p.m. in the Kennedy Auditorium, Taylor Science Center.

The discussion is free.

Participants will include grassroots environmental group Citizens’ Climate Lobby; The Sunrise Movement, a group of young people uniting to stop the climate crisis; and state Senator Rachel May. 

Panelists will discuss policy choices facing New York in dealing with climate change. 

The panel will especially focus on two models: carbon taxes and a green new deal.
