DIANA — Two Syracuse residents have been charged with breaking into campers in Lewis County, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies said William D. Anderson, 28, and Liana M. Flack, 32, both of Schuyler Street, Syracuse, went through multiple campers on Austin Road in Diana on the evening of May 13. Deputies said the pair stole property from the campers, and damaged the door of one of the campers while gaining entry.

Following an investigation, Anderson and Flack were taken into custody on Aug. 11 on four counts each of third-degree burglary, a class D felony, and one count of third-degree mischief, a class E felony, deputies said. The pair were arraigned in court and were released on their own recognizances. They are scheduled to reappear in court.

Authorities said Anderson was turned over to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on an open arrest warrant for a separate incident, and Flack was turned over to the Carthage Police Department in Jefferson County on her own open arrest warrant.
