Two people have been charged with shoplifting $23.47 in groceries from Tops supermarket in Rome, according to law enforcement officials.
Police said Marianna S. Knopka, 18, and Ryan M. Horner, 19, both of Depeyster Street, stole $23.47 worth of groceries from Tops on Erie Boulevard at about 12:07 p.m. Friday. Police said the pair were both charged with one count of petty larceny.
Knopka and Horner were released on appearance tickets for City Court.
