TOWN OF SCHUYLER — Two people are facing charges after an active methamphetamine lab was raided in Herkimer County on Friday.
State police said the residence at 121 Bono Blvd. was raided on Friday following an investigation into the sale of meth in the area.
Troopers said they found a quantity of meth and packaging materials, and there were several active one-pot portable meth labs cooking in a shed at the rear of the property.
The State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team cleaned up the shed and the scene of the hazardous chemicals.
Residents Amee L. Johnson, 29, and James M. Mitchell Jr., 30, are charged with one count each of third-degree unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine, a class D felony, troopers said.
They were arraigned in Town Court, and Mitchell was sent to county jail without bail, Johnson in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
They are scheduled to reappear in court.
