Pair accused of lewdness, prostitution

A man and woman have been taken into custody for prostitution at the boat launch on Muck Road Tuesday afternoon.

Police said officers were dispatched to the boat launch at 4 p.m. Tuesday for a complaint of lewd behavior, and they found the suspect vehicle a few blocks away. In the vehicle was 64-year-old Robert S. Yauger, who police said has been charged with public lewdness and third-degree patronizing a prostitute, police stated.

Further investigation led to charges against 52-year-old Betty A. Williamson, who was located at a residence in the city, authorities said. Williamson is charged with public lewdness and prostitution, police stated.

Both Yauger and Williamson were released on appearance tickets to City Court.
