Oriskany students salute veterans in ceremony at N.A. Walbran Elementary School
N.A. WALBRAN HONORS VETERANS — Air Force Tech Sgt. Joe Pruckno holds his daughter, Finnleigh Pruckno, 2, as he stands while students sing “The U.S. Air Force” song, often referred to as “The Wild Blue Yonder” during a Veterans Day assembly at N.A. Walbran Elementary School in Oriskany today. Behind him at right is Col. Paul Bishop, who read a story to the assembly which honored local veterans. Bishop is commander of the New York Air National Guard’s 224th Air Defense Group at the Eastern Air Defense Sector.
