Barn Fest, held in the small, historic Welsh town, is known as one of the Northeast’s premier festivals, featuring crafts of all kinds, farmers market, food for every taste and entertainment. Featured will be hundreds of quality juried crafters offering jewelry, textiles, fashion accessories, woodcrafts, soaps, pottery, holiday items, furniture, glass, candles and more.
Food vendors offer everything from hearty meals to sweet snacks. Farmers markets offer local honey, jams and jellies, gourmet spices and sauces, candy, fudge and local cheese curds.
Visit the free quilt show at The Remsen Arts Center. On Sunday at 2:30 p.m. all may experience the beauty of the Gymanfa Ganu (Welsh song fest) in the Stone Church on Prospect Street. The baking contest is at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Methodist Church. The Emporium Booth also offers Welsh-themed festival merchandise. The corn maze will be open festival hours. No pets are allowed.
