ONEIDA — A Madison County man has been charged with possessing child pornography at his home in Oneida, according to the New York State Police.

Troopers said Austin J. Meeks, 27, of Oneida, was taken into custody on Tuesday following an investigation into images and videos in his possession. Troopers said Meeks was the subject of a tip received by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Meeks is charged with one count of possession of a sexual performance by a child, a class E felony, troopers said. He was released on an appearance ticket to Oneida City Court for March 16.
