Oneida High School announces top scholars for Class of 2018


Oneida High School has announced the school’s top students for the Class of 2018.

They are:

• Julia Pickard, valedictorian, who will be attending Colgate University to study biochemistry.

She was a member of numerous group in high school including National Honors Society, Zonta Club, Leo’s Club, and student council.

She played varsity field hockey for four years and was team captain for the past two years, and named tri-valley league all-star for the past three.

Pickard played varsity volleyball for the past two years, and ran track for two years. She is a Section II Class B champion in the pentathlon.

• Dana Ratnarajah, salutatorian, will be attending Cornell University to study human biology, health and society.

Ratnarajah is president of the Z-Club as well as president of the National Honor Society. She is on the varsity soccer and track teams. She is a member of the Science Olympiad Mathletics team, Rotary Club, and the Chamber Choir.
