SHERRILL — The Greater Oneida Chamber of Commerce has announced that Westmoor Ltd, 906 W. Hamilton Ave., has been named as the chamber’s Member of the Month for September.

The Conde Pump story goes back to 1939. According to chamber officials, Lyall Conde began mass-producing the Conde Pump line in 1939 for dairy and other industrial applications.

Chamber officials said Conde knew then that his pumps needed to perform and be reliable because their livelihoods depended on it. “We know that is just as true today as it was 83 years ago,” officials said.

Robin Hendry is today’s owner of Westmoor, and he recently gave some members of the chamber board of directors a tour of the facility.

“It was very insightful and interesting to hear about the products that they make,” chamber officials said.

“It is amazing to know that we have a business like this right here in our community. They manufacture equipment and ship it all over the world,” the announcement added.
