UTICA — One person was shot in the leg at Oneida Square in Utica Tuesday evening, according to local law enforcement officials who add that the investigation is ongoing.

Police said the victim was standing in Oneida Square when the gunman approached and started shooting at about
7:20 p.m.

The victim was hit once in the leg and they were later dropped off at a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police stated.

Officers responded to the scene and found several spent shell casings on the sidewalk.

No arrests have been made so far.
