TURIN  — A Wayne County man was hospitalized after his snowmobile overturned in Lewis County, according to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's deputies said Larry B. Thayer, 43, of Marion, was riding on Trail C7B in the Town of Turin around 1:30 p.m. Thursday when he failed to negotiate a curve at a safe speed. Deputies said Thayer's snowmobile overturned and he suffered an injury.

The authorities met up with Thayer and his party behind the River Valley Inn. They said he was treated at the scene and then was taken to a local hospital.
