OLD FORGE — The Old Forge Library will host author and historian Megan Plete-Postol on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 5:30 p.m.
Postol will discuss her latest book, “Souther Adirondack Foothills Fishing, Hunting and Trapping.” The book chronicles a less-often explored aspect of Adirondacks history: the mountainfolk who etched out a life in the southern foothills region on the mountain range.
Books will be available for purchase and signing.
Postol is a contributing reporter, photographer and columnist for the Boonville Herald and a freelance outdoor writer. She has a degree in public relations and journalism from Utica College. She grew up hunting and fishing, mostly with her father, and learned trapping from her brother. Postol lives in Remsen.
Old Forge Library is located at 220 Crosby Blvd. For more, visit oldforgelibrary.org or call 315-369-6008.
