Northeast National Pastel Exhibition awards announced

OLD FORGE — View has announced the winners of the 2018 Northeast National Pastel Exhibition.

  • Janet Palmer’s “Home Fire’s Burning” won first place
  • Jodie Kain’s “Brad” won second place
  • Joyce Hanson’s “Trail to Long Pond” won third place
  • Christine Ivers’ “Revisiting Opening Night” won the Lee award
  • Robin McCondichie’s “Clouds Over North Sea” won the Kelly Weal memorial award
  • Cristine Kossow’s “Empty” won the Adirondack Pastel Society outstanding still life award
  • Jodie Kain’s “Light Embrace” won the Rooney Award
  • Barbara Vural’s “San Jose” won the outstanding color award

Sandra Blostein’s “Summer’s End,” Jeri Greenberg’s “Cape Trees,” Denise Rizzo’s “Echoes of Sunlight,” and Ingrid Van Slyke’s “Docked for Now” were all given honorable mentions. The exhibit will be on display through Sunday, July 29.
