North Country woman gets 22 years in federal prison for sexual abuse of toddler

A Jefferson County woman has been sentenced to 22 years in federal prison for sexually abusing a 2-year-old child and recording the abuse, according to an announcement by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Amber Decker, 26, of Antwerp, was sentenced by the Hon. Judge David N. Hurd in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York in Utica, on Wednesday to 22 years in prison after pleading guilty to seven charges in June 2019, authorities said.
Decker was also sentenced to 20 years of post-release supervision.
Authorities said Decker and her husband, Logan Decker, conspired to sexually abuse a 2-year-old child and record images and videos of the abuse.
Authorities said Decker admitted to abusing the child on several occasions between July and August 2018 while she was living in Jefferson County, then uploading the files to a cloud storage account for her husband to view. He was living in South Dakota at the time.
Authorities said the husband, Logan Decker, has also pleaded guilty and is scheduled for sentencing on Sept. 23.
