No students injured when Camden school bus slips off road
CAMDEN — No one was injured when a school bus full of children slid off a snowy Old State Road in Camden Friday afternoon, according to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies said bus driver Randy Plumley, of Camden, was driving a Camden Central School bus on Old State Road at about 3:43 p.m. Friday when he attempted to negotiate a curve and lost control of the bus in the snowy conditions. Deputies said the bus went off the roadway and came to rest in a yard.
There were 19 elementary-aged children on board for afternoon dismissal and they were not injured, authorities said. The students were evaluated by medical personnel before being taken home.
The investigation remains ongoing.
