ALBANY — A New Hartford woman is accused in Federal Court of selling methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl in Montgomery and Rensselaer counties, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Alexis Miranda, 27, of New Hartford, pleaded not guilty before U.S. District Judge Andrew T. Baxter on Friday to charges of distribution and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, as well as one count of possession of firearms with obliterated serial numbers, court officials said. Her case was adjourned.

Prosecutors said Miranda sold meth, heroin and fentanyl in Montgomery County between August and October 2019, and sold drugs in Rensselaer County in August 2020. Prosecutors said Miranda was also found with four defaced pistols in Rensselaer County in August 2020.

Miranda faces a maximum of life in prison and a $10 million fine if convicted.
